It’s always the same thing : money. However, sometimes soundtracks are released when we’re no longer expecting it. If the demand is sufficient and if  people express themselves, then their wish will come true. BACK TO THE FUTURE has been for all of us an incredible experience, even an event. And I understand that people want an album.”

Introduction

Since 1985, the BACK TO THE FUTURE wondrous score composed by Alan Silvestri has arisen the passion of an incalculable amount of soundtracks fans all around the world. We cannot even count the number of people anymore telling BTTF is the score that revealed their passion for film music.

The main theme is one of the best known melodies for a film. Everybody has kept it in mind and hummed it since the film has been released.

BTTF is an achievement in the career of Alan Silvestri, the one that pushed him to the top of his profession, the one that changed the life of most soundtracks lovers, a past, present and future musical phenomenal success…

And believe it or not, but the score for BTTF has ashamedly never been seriously and officially released on a CD album yet ! Except these incomplete albums released by MCA and Varèse Sarabande.

This petition aims to convince the soundtrack publishers that the BACK TO THE FUTURE score is a real acclaimed soundtrack album, and that it represents a marketing potential deserving a release, at last !
